Declare regulated goods before pickup. A guess at the terminal is a refusal.
Batteries, paints, aerosols, perfumes, magnets, and many chemicals are regulated on ships and aircraft. We carry them only after you declare them and we accept them in writing for that mode. An undeclared dangerous good puts the crew, the terminal, and the rest of the cargo at risk, and it will not be loaded.
The booking confirmation names the cutoff, the equipment, and the charges. Transit times and sample rates on this site are explanations, not that confirmation. Operations records a milestone only after the cargo or the document has actually moved.
This page is a booking policy. It is not a dangerous-goods manual and it does not authorize a shipment.
What to send for a written rate
- City or port of origin, and city or port of destination
- Mode: ocean, air, or truck, if you already know it
- Pieces, weight, and dimensions
- What the goods are, in plain language
- The date the freight is ready
- Hazardous, oversized, or temperature-controlled, if any of those apply
A quote is not a booking. The booking starts when you accept the rate, the cutoff, and the document list in writing.
What to send before we accept
The proper shipping name, the class, the UN number if there is one, the quantity, and the packing type. A safety data sheet helps us decide. Acceptance on one lane does not mean acceptance on every lane.
Lithium batteries
Lithium ion and lithium metal batteries are restricted in air freight, including batteries packed with equipment. Tell us before you ask for an air rate. Some configurations can move by ocean when they cannot move by air.
What happens if it was not declared
The freight is stopped. You pay the cost of returning it, destroying it, or holding it, as the terminal requires. We will not relabel undeclared cargo to push it through.

Do you provide dangerous-goods paperwork?
Only when that service is on the quote and a trained person prepares it. Do not assume it is included.
Can the tracking status be Exception for this?
Yes. A stopped shipment is recorded as an exception with the location and the reason we can share.
