Terms of carriage
This page explains the shape of a booking. It is not itself a bill of lading.
When we confirm a booking, that confirmation and the bill of lading or air waybill for the shipment are the documents that control it. Transit times are estimates unless the confirmation says they are guaranteed. You pack and describe the cargo. We move what we accepted.
The booking confirmation names the cutoff, the equipment, and the charges. Transit times and sample rates on this site are explanations, not that confirmation. Operations records a milestone only after the cargo or the document has actually moved.
What to send for a written rate
- City or port of origin, and city or port of destination
- Mode: ocean, air, or truck, if you already know it
- Pieces, weight, and dimensions
- What the goods are, in plain language
- The date the freight is ready
- Hazardous, oversized, or temperature-controlled, if any of those apply
A quote is not a booking. The booking starts when you accept the rate, the cutoff, and the document list in writing.
Booking
A rate is a booking only after we confirm it in writing. Cutoffs for documents and for the cargo are part of that confirmation. Cargo that differs from the booking can be held for a new rate or refused.
Cargo
You are responsible for lawful goods, for packing that suits the mode, and for an accurate description. Undeclared hazardous cargo is refused. International freight needs an invoice and a packing list that match the pieces we received.
Delivery and claims
Delivery is complete when the consignee, or a person at the delivery address, signs. Note visible loss or damage on that receipt. Claims should be filed promptly with the tracking number and photographs. Liability follows the carriage document, not this summary.

Are website transit times binding?
No. The confirmation for your booking is the estimate that applies, and it is still an estimate unless it says otherwise.
