Do you supply packaging?
Ask in the quote. Standard bookings assume you pack the freight. Crating can be arranged when we accept it in writing.

Packing
Pack for the roughest leg, not for the ride across your warehouse.
Ocean and LTL freight are handled on docks. Air freight is screened and can be stacked with other cargo. A carton that is fine on a parcel van can fail in a container. If the goods are fragile, say so before pickup and pack them that way.
The booking confirmation names the cutoff, the equipment, and the charges. Transit times and sample rates on this site are explanations, not that confirmation. Operations records a milestone only after the cargo or the document has actually moved.
A quote is not a booking. The booking starts when you accept the rate, the cutoff, and the document list in writing.
Use a carton rated for the weight inside it. Fill empty space so the goods cannot shift. A crate is appropriate for machinery and for anything with a high center of gravity. Seal every carton. A band on the outside is not a substitute for a strong box.
Stack to a stable height, wrap the load to the pallet, and do not let cartons overhang the deck. Put the labels on the side that a forklift driver can read. Tell us if the pallet cannot be stacked or cannot be broken down.
Each piece needs the consignment or booking number, the destination, and a piece count such as 1 of 4. A label that only has a product name is not enough at a warehouse that receives many shippers.

Tell us the weight per pallet. A site without a forklift cannot receive a pallet the driver cannot move.
Yes, if the packing list still lets customs and the receiver identify them.
A firm rate, a booking, and a tracking number come from operations. This page explains the service. It is not a live tariff.
