Cargo

Cargo we move

General freight, with extra questions when the goods are oversized, perishable, or regulated.

Cargo we move

Most bookings are general cargo: cartons, crates, and pallets of lawful goods with a commercial invoice. Some commodities need approval before we accept them. Approval is a written yes on that booking, not a sentence on this page.

The booking confirmation names the cutoff, the equipment, and the charges. Transit times and sample rates on this site are explanations, not that confirmation. Operations records a milestone only after the cargo or the document has actually moved.

What to send for a written rate

  • City or port of origin, and city or port of destination
  • Mode: ocean, air, or truck, if you already know it
  • Pieces, weight, and dimensions
  • What the goods are, in plain language
  • The date the freight is ready
  • Hazardous, oversized, or temperature-controlled, if any of those apply

A quote is not a booking. The booking starts when you accept the rate, the cutoff, and the document list in writing.

General cargo

Finished goods, parts, textiles, machinery in crates, and similar freight move on ocean, air, or truck when they are packed for that mode. Tell us if a piece is top-heavy, cannot be stacked, or needs to stay upright.

Cargo that needs a conversation first

Food and other perishables need a temperature plan. Used equipment needs a description that customs will accept. High-value cargo may need a seal check and a stated liability limit. Project cargo that does not fit standard equipment needs dimensions before we look for a vessel or a trailer.

Cargo we will not take on a guess

Hazardous goods that are not declared. Personal effects with no packing list. Anything we are not allowed to carry. If you are unsure, ask before you deliver the freight to a terminal.

Questions

Do you move household goods?

Only as a commercial booking with a packing list and a consignee who will receive them. We are not a household mover by the piece.

Can you keep a temperature?

Only when the quote names the range and the equipment. Do not assume a dry container is refrigerated.

What if the commodity is restricted at destination?

The importer and the broker confirm that before we book. A refused entry is not a carrier delay.
