Tracking

How tracking works

Tracking shows milestones we have recorded. It does not invent a location.

How tracking works

Enter a tracking number, a bill of lading, or a container number. If the consignment is on file, you see the parties, the route, the status, and the milestone list. If it is not on file, the page says so. A sample number is labeled as a sample so it is not mistaken for live cargo.

The booking confirmation names the cutoff, the equipment, and the charges. Transit times and sample rates on this site are explanations, not that confirmation. Operations records a milestone only after the cargo or the document has actually moved.

What to send for a written rate

  • City or port of origin, and city or port of destination
  • Mode: ocean, air, or truck, if you already know it
  • Pieces, weight, and dimensions
  • What the goods are, in plain language
  • The date the freight is ready
  • Hazardous, oversized, or temperature-controlled, if any of those apply

A quote is not a booking. The booking starts when you accept the rate, the cutoff, and the document list in writing.

Which number to use

The booking confirmation has the tracking number. After an ocean gate-in you can also use the container number. The bill of lading and the air waybill work as soon as they are issued. Spaces and letter case do not matter.

What the statuses mean

Booked means we accepted the shipment. Picked up means we have the cargo. In transit means it is moving. Customs means a clearance step is recorded. Arrived means it reached the destination terminal or airport. Out for delivery means the truck has it. Delivered means it was signed for. Exception means the move needs attention.

Customer portal

Public tracking does not require a login. If operations attached the consignment to your account email, it also appears when you sign in. A number that is not attached to your login can still be tracked on the public page.

Status guide

The label on the page matches the latest milestone.

In transit Moving by vessel, aircraft, or truck
Customs A clearance step is on the file
Arrived At the destination gateway
Out for delivery On the delivery truck

Questions

Why does an unknown number say not found?

Because it is not in the consignment book. Check the confirmation, or contact operations with the shipper name. We will not pretend a number is live.

Who adds a milestone?

Operations. When they save an update, the public page shows it.

What if my number is not on file?

The page says it was not found. Use the number on your booking confirmation, or contact operations with the shipper name.
